Summary
Hua Yong decides that politeness might not be the way to go. Time for some harsh truths. "It's your heat", he says bluntly. "I can smell it on you. The suppressants are no longer enough to cover it up."
As suspected, Gao Tu tries to slam the door in his face. When Hua Yong does not let him, the anxiety spikes into fear.
"I want to help you", he continues, trying to alleviate his worries. It doesn't take much to push Gao Tu's hand away and slip inside. Some conversations are better not held outside for the eyes and ears of nosy neighbours.

Were you disappointed with how Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang's story ended? Me too. And I can't help myself, I have to change it. With all love for the original author, having them separate for 3 years and then reunite off screen in both novel and tv show broke my heart. If it did yours too, this is for you!
Gao Tu has a lot to say about his beautiful, if painful, love story. Listen to him tell the story through his perspective, and then get the happy ending he deserves <3
If you haven't read the novel yet, it's not necessary to read but I highly recommend as it's incredible. The best translation I've found is at https://chrysanthemumgarden.com/novel-tl/desire/
