Mrs Ramos would like to say that she was surprised when the headlines screamed Brucie Wayne had taken in another one, but she wasn’t. She just let out a quiet sigh and carried on with her lesson plan.
She already knew Tim when he was adopted. He ghosted through his lessons, eyes perpetually out the window or working on another class's homework. He drank coffee like it was his lifeblood, and it probably was; his eye bags were so big they could probably be checked in at the airport. He was the odd kid that the other kids bullied, the weird nerd that skipped a couple grades that was short for his age anyway, but surrounded by peers two years older he was dwarfed.

Summary
Set days after the events in Shadow (1.16), Dean and Sam are trying to get as far from Chicago as they can when an unexpected and yet familiar arrival throws their world into disarray. Dean didn't ask for a glimpse into his and Sam's future, and he's still not sure he wants one, especially not when his future self starts talking about angels and miracles, like either of those things could possibly exist.
"Okay, let's say you're right. Let's say at some point I'm going to travel into the past, meet myself, and then force myself to take a cross-country road trip with myself so that I can find some dude I refuse to talk about. The hell, Sam? Does any of that make sense?"

He made the deal, not caring that he would leave your sorry clingy ass behind. He's mine."
Sam's hand tightens around Dean's arm, but he knows his brother well enough to know that he's only one snarky remark away from lounging himself at the entity. So Sam does the first thing that comes to his mind.
"Do you have that written down?"
