Seeing Shouto so upset about missing out on everything that his ex had promised they'd do together, he immediately decides to step up and take him on all the holiday activities that they had planned. It's really just to prove that he doesn't need that no-good, lousy guy around anyway, and-...and there are better people out there for him like-...well, you know.

Summary
“I said, I would have said yes had you asked me” Shouto repeats, only that time he smiles a little at him. He knows the dangers of that smile and all the walls that can come crumbling down because of it, though, so he wisely decides to look away and back at his half-empty glass.
“Yeah, well, I didn’t ask you, did I?”
He knows it’s an asshole thing to say. That he’s essentially just rubbing in the implication that, despite it all, he’ll never even be a second thought to him, but he’s always been a little bit of an asshole. Yet Shouto only snorts at that and the smile remains as is.

Katsuki doesn't know what to do after he waves his goodbye to Izuku, so instead of going home, he ends up in a bar somewhere feeling slightly lost about his future. What is he supposed to do now that his eight-year-old plan got flushed down the drain? He doesn't know. Lucky for him, Shouto's always there with a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. He's...starting to realize that a little more clearly now. Maybe he'll even see it for what it is (he's kind of dumb though).

“It’s all part of the plan, Todoroki!” Mina said enthusiastically. “Like, statistically speaking, you two gotta end up underneath at least one of these bad boys at some point during the night, right?”

Shouto likes Bakugou and doesn’t know what to do, so, he goes to the girls for help. Their plan? Hang up a bunch of mistletoes and hope for statistics to help him. Shouto does NOT think statistics will help him or is involved at all.

To say that wanting to kiss Todoroki had come as a surprise would have been a lie.
Actually, if he was being entirely honest, he wasn’t even sure how he hadn’t seen it just yet. How he hadn’t understood that every time he laid eyes on the stupidly attractive classmate of his and felt the desperate need to do something- anything-, it had actually just been his own dumb way of declaring that, that one, that one right there, I want to kiss.
It was Todoroki though. As stupid as it sounded he’d consider himself insane if he didn’t want to kiss him.

Katsuki wouldn’t use the word nosy to describe himself.
He was a certain kind of nosy, that much he could admit, but he preferred to think of it as 'curiosity' that happened to be particularly settled in on other people's business. So no, nosy wasn’t the word he would use. Curious was more like it.
If he happened to be going out of his way to try and get a peek at the little notes containing hints of this mysterious person that Todoroki liked and had left in his notebooks, it was simply because he was curious about it. Nothing else. So no, he wasn't nosy.

Katsuki finds a few doodles and notes about a person that Todoroki seems to be interested in. Like a good friend, he decides to investigate the poorly drawn figures and isn't at all upset to find out it's not him. Spoiler alert, he is. Also spoiler alert, he's about as good of a detective as Todoroki is an artist.

Panels are difficult to do if you got a secret to keep and also collectively suck at secret keeping. Unfortunately for both Bakugou and Todoroki, they're both so obvious that the audience doesn't need to dig for too long before they find gold. Or maybe it's fortunate? Either way, they're obvious fools and this is almost 8k words of just that.

Fall he did. He wasn’t entirely sure for how long he fell but it clearly had something to do with someone's quirk as when his body did hit the ground with a loud, uncomfortable thud, he wasn’t dead. He was in pain, but he wasn’t dead.
He didn’t know where he was either, the tall walls of whatever hole he had fallen into giving no indication of his whereabouts.
“Theatrical mother fucker” he whispered to himself.

In a fight, Bakugou gets injured and then thrown into a hole of some kind where he is left to die. Probably. He's not dumb enough to use his quirk to try and get out with how everything can collapse and knows he doesn't have the strength required to climb. He can't take another fall either, realistically speaking. So, he waits. While he waits, he says his last words to Todoroki, hoping he'll hear them one day. Todoroki hears them then and there instead because when has anything ever gone how Bakugou expects it to.
