“So,” Shane started out, pushing half a strawberry around his plate, leaving a pink slimy trail in its wake. His eyes were down when he spoke, as usual, but they flicked up to find Ilya’s after a moment. “Um. I know it’s early, but I have a birthday gift for you. Well,” Shane bit his lip. “It’s not, like, a gift, I guess. Not physical.”

Ilya’s eyebrows raised, and he painted on a curious smile, pointing at his chest.

    “For me? A gift?”

“Can’t hang out tonight, Hayd. I have plans.”

“Bullshit,” Hayden responds. “You never have plans.”

Objectively, this used to be true. Nowadays Shane has many, many plans, between his nightly plans to look at Ilya’s penis through Skype and his various long-term plans laid out helpfully in his notebook, Canva (For Ilya’s sake. He is a visual learner), and more recently, Excel. Shane loves that excel sheet. He’s colour coded it.

In 2017, Shane Hollander spirals and proposes to his boyfriend of 4 days (or 7 years, or 9 years, or not his boyfriend at all, depending on how you look at it), which leads to a lot of plans, weird theories in the Montreal Voyageur locker room, some Twitter drama, and Ilya Rozanov entering his WAG era.

Field meteorologist and dedicated climate scientist Shane Hollander of Boston's Channel 5 News is exasperated with assholes like Ilya Rozanov, the Russian playboy Storm Chaser with millions of followers, who waste their platforms on fame and sensationalized videos instead of taking the opportunity to educate their audiences about the very real, very happening right now dangers of climate change.

    Or:
It may be below freezing in Boston, MA but during the bomb cyclogenesis blizzard of 2018, residents are hoping for something hot to melt the ice. Generational blizzard snows in the two most talked about men in weather, Meteorologist Shane Hollander and Storm Chaser Ilya Rozanov.

First you’ve got Ottawa’s own Shane Hollander - from everything we’ve seen and heard he may not be the most sociable but this is the man with the highest climate science IQ out there. Incredibly smart, incredibly dedicated to climate justice, and incredibly hot.

Then you’ve got Russia’s Ilya Rozanov strong on social media, strong with the ladies, and from everything we’ve heard he really gets under other storm chaser’s skins - viral on his own channels, not exactly liked by the meteorologist community.
