Summary
Peter Parker and your friendship began with a 'SOLD' sign, a skateboard, and bloody knees.
Somewhere along the way, it turned into painful small talk, avoiding each others gaze, and enough distance that the proximity rivaled being across the universe.
And it ended with a broken arm, too much rain, and a gun to your head.

For days his apartment smells like your shampoo.
And for several nights, Peter can't fall back asleep.
In his dreams, your always there. Eight and in pigtails when you moved in across the street. Twelve and putting Band-Aids on his skinned knees after he falls off his skateboard. Seventeen and tasting like strawberry vodka outside of Flash's party.
Twenty three and in a headlock with the barrel digging into your temple , eyes wide and full of fear.
It takes until it pours again for him to have the courage to climb out his window and brace the rain on the way to your apartment.

Summary
Dr. Strange closes his eyes, holding a hand to his chest as he tries to control his rapid breathing. He begins seeing choppy visions of a girl stuck under rubble. He couldn't tell if she was on earth or some other planet, but it was neither his concern nor his priority. He furrowed his brows, tensing his body to try and keep the visions stable. The girl was crying, trying to scream out for help, but to no avail as her throat was hoarse and dry from the abuse of the scorching hot rubble on her back.
His vision grew blurry, but soon he was taken to a scene where her fingers began to glow brightly, turning white from the sheer energy coursing through her veins. Slowly, her body began to glow the same color as the rubble around her began to melt, her body trembled and shuddered, her clothing beginning to scorch at the edges. She raised her head, and Strange felt as though he were staring directly at her.
He understood well what that meant.

In which a girl is forced to reckon with her powers as she navigates the new life of a superhero in a destroyed world. Oh, she falls in love with her friendly neighborhood Spider-Man along the way as well.

Summary
It’s quite cruel how violently life changed after the Battle of Hogwarts. The murders of Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore meant the Wizarding World was left vulnerable against the Dark Lord’s command. He quickly took power, like any tyrannical ruler might, slaughtering all souls unwilling to swear allegiance. Though there were cowards among the fallen, those of us who surrendered for the sake of survival. We few were special to the Dark Lord, meant to be entertainment for him and his loyalists. Entertainment crafted by the mundane, he’d taunted. Our existence had been diminished within a matter of moments, lessened by just a few spoken words. My life, my body, they were suddenly no longer my own, not until he came along and changed everything.
