“Carly, tell me what’s happening,” Freddie demands and there’s deep worry in his voice and also maybe a bit of frustration that does a very weird thing to the pit of her stomach.
“I think I’m having an allergic reaction,” she manages. She blinks sixteen times against his neck, trying to make her eyes focus on something other than one of his moles. She has the bizarre urge to lick it, but thinks it would probably take her tongue too long.
“To what?” and he’s already shoving her hair off her clavicle to check for hives, bless him.
“To melatonin. I couldn’t sleep and Harper said I could have some of her gummies. Oh, god, Harper. She’s going to come home and find me dead!”
Freddie is quiet for a moment, taking the time to have a good look at her. She doesn’t know what he sees, but finally he asks, “You took gummies of Harper’s, thinking they were melatonin?”
“Well what else would they be?! That’s what she said they were!”
___________________Carly comes home from Italy and moves in next to Freddie Benson. Living with the fallout from that night in Italy hasn't been easy, and now she can hear him through her GD bedroom wall at night. Melatonin should help... right?

Ilya nods. “I can house-sit while you are away. Make place pretty, if you have decorations. Make it less boring.”
Shane’s eyebrows fly up. “What? You don’t want to come with?”
Finally, Ilya looks up at him. Hesitantly, he asks, “You want me to come with?”
Frowning, Shane says, “I– yeah. Yeah, of course. You think I invited you here just so you could spend Christmas alone?”
Looking away, Ilya shrugs. “I am intruder here, Hollander. You have family. I do not. Makes situation… difficult, maybe. You forget the world thinks we are rivals.”
“Not difficult,” Shane says immediately. “You want to come, you’re coming.”
