Who knew working for The Company and their manifest destiny to consume the galaxy would be so boring.
Scavs is part of the billions wide proletarian workforce that is the lifeblood of this horrifically expansive entity they call The Company. This force does such things as collecting scrap, filling out paperwork, and carrying out the plentiful policies and procedures to keep his employer happy. Whoever that is anymore. Despite flying moon to moon to do the chores for his favorite capitalistic overlords, fighting monsters, and barely scrapping by Scavs finds himself still bored, still unsatisfied, still feeling controlled...
Luckily, having a team of a close bunch of coworkers (or as some weirdos might call them, friends), can make life a little easier. Scavs has spent countless quotas with that team and they've grown closer and closer through that time. The Company however does not pay you to make friends. Now down on their luck with a concerning lack of scrap, they've got to make tough choices to make it to next quota.
An unfamiliar moon, 85-Rend could just be what turns their luck and absolutely won't turn out a disaster... probably. But hey, at least it'll alleviate the boredom.

Billy Chamberlain was awake. He sat on the edge of his bed. His was the bottom bunk, but nobody else stayed with him, so it didn’t matter all that much.
He stared hard down at the paper in his hands, running his thumb over the corner, crumpling it. He ran his eyes across the words written on it, sketchy and uneven."Hey, Caz."

A swap au for still wakes the deep!! In which my favorite silly boy, Billy Chamberlain, takes Caz's place on the rig. After being beaten up by Caz, and sending the police after them, Billy Chamberlain decides to run away to work on the Beira once he gets hired. He's an engineer, and they miraculously let him on despite his lack of experience in the oil industry. Its a quick decision, and he says goodbye to no one. He has no one to say goodbye to, not anymore.
So, he runs away, hoping to escape the shame and guilt and ruined relationships and just how badly he fucked up, out there.
But mistakes catch up with you, one way or another, and sooner or later Billy'll find that he might've preferred staying on the mainland after all.Series

Summary
Caspian Raye had almost gotten everything he wanted from life. He was gonna make it big, he was gonna play Roxie Hart on Broadway as part of the official revival cast. Until one man took it all away from him. They called him cruel, heartless, a stone-cold killer when he shot Dan Lipschitz for what he did. He had it coming.
But now, none of that matters. Now, he's subject to the Hadal Blacksite and the monsters that infest it, along with a sinister doctor who won't let him die until he gets the prized crystal in the hostile environment's heart. His only repreves are a former experiment with a sassy streak and a depressed AI.
As time goes on and his body changes as a result of The Doctor, he finds himself becoming more and more fond of the dear Sebastian Solace. But if he gets that crystal - if he plays along with Urbanshade - he'll be freed and excused of all charges. He could expose the man who ruined his life for the sack of shit he really was. That's the only reason he signed up in the first place. But does he really want that anymore, now that him and The Saboteur have grown so close?
