Summary
Barbara Gordon, anos depois de um acontecimento trágico que mudou sua vida para sempre, retorna a faculdade para uma segunda graduação em busca de um recomeço. Uma cirurgia experimental que prometia devolver sua antiga vida foi a causa de dores que a prenderam ainda mais a dores e sequelas, o que a fez mergulhar num sofrimento crônico por meses que mudaram a química de sua vida. Lidando com segredos inéditos até para ela mesma e protegendo sua nova persona, Barbara é colocada no centro da ascensão de uma entidade social oculta que promete um futuro sombrio aos jovens da universidade. Dick Grayson esperava apenas livrar os irmãos e manter um bom exemplo de irmão mais velho, quando os ares mudam o funcionamento de seus sentidos e seus olhos começam a enxergar uma culpa que o sufoca. Ele se junta a Barbara para tentar entender o que os assombra após o aumento dos casos de desaparecimentos, ao passo que uma paranóia desinibida o tira do eixo e começa lentamente a deteriorar tudo o que ele destingue sendo real ou não. Lutando contra o próprio corpo e a própria mente, Barbara e Dick precisam encontrar um jeito de fugir.
