Summary
There was an excellent reason why everyone tried to avoid using the word paranoid around Virgil. No one wanted to remind Thomas of Virgil's time as a Dark Side.
However, after Virgil’s confession at the end of Dealing With INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS, nothing can ever be the same.Happy Birthday, Virgil!

Summary
Nothing he did was ever good enough. No matter how hard he tried, he always seemed to mess everything up. And then, on the rare occasions that he did manage to do something right, someone else almost always seemed to get the credit. He did everything in his power to fulfil his purpose, just like the other Sides. He tried, again and again, to make Thomas' dreams come true, but they consistently belittle him for his efforts. In fact, one of the few times he could remember actually getting praised for doing something right was for the split-second decision to give everything up.
In aftermath of the Wedding, Roman can't help but wonder: maybe they would be better off without him.
Happy belated birthday Roman! (04/06/2020)

Summary
Roman thrived on compliments. Whenever Thomas received a compliment, or he read a positive tweet or got a new subscriber on his channel, Roman would practically buzz from happiness.
Roman did represent Thomas' Ego, and he did gain energy whenever Thomas received a compliment. Compliments did feed the Ego, literally, and without them, Roman tended to experience a creative block.
Or worse, starve.

Summary
Alcohol affected the Sides differently. Thomas didn't drink that often, and it didn't usually hit all of them at once. Nevertheless, they each seemed to embody a certain stereotype when under the influence.
