Draco returns after three years as an International Lawyer for the Ministry to find that his world at home in England has completely changed...
Like... COMPLETELY changed.
He walks in on his mother having a delightful chummy mum-daughter lunch at the Manor with... Hermione fucking Granger?!
Yeah, his parents love Granger. And so do his friends... And that dream job the Minister brought him home for? That super awesome promotion he worked his ass off for?
Oh, right, it's as Granger's partner.
It's an upside down world, apparently, because she isn't even with Weasley! The Prophet is a lying Rag of news outlet and should fry!
Not only that, but... the Weasel has been stalking her? Hurting her?
Draco is a mess the more he learns... However much he felt he had failed the girl he has loved since he was 11 when he watched her be tortured on his drawing room floor is NOTHING compared to how much of failure he feels when he learns about her ordeal while he has been gone, but he's back now and he will do whatever it takes to...

Summary
The war has been won, but Hermione finds herself dealing with the after effects of a near constant state of heightened awareness and danger, with unhealthy coping mechanisms slowly threading in to her life to ease the burden of trauma.
She boards the Hogwarts express alone, with a newfound determination to find herself again. Unaware that as the train carries her back to the Castle, it's also driving her to a life unknown. A life she never anticipated or even considered she'd live.
With her misaligned priorities, she is exceptionally bad at caring for herself; often facing judgement from Crookshanks. He's not the only one who's noticed, though. Draco Malfoy has also decided to Return to Hogwarts. Hermione can't escape his dedicated attention to detail. Nor can she escape him taking control when she doesn't. Hard to do, though, when one simple touch ignites uncontrollable desire.
A story filled with heat, angst and comedy as the castle serves as a nexus for forgiveness and newfound joy, interwoven within Hermione's heavy despair.
I am writing this story as I go, no plan - Just lots of ideas of what I want to include throughout. I'm letting it flow as life does; unexpected and surprising.

Summary
It’s 2008 and Draco Malfoy is a secret assassin. It's legitimate - he gets paid for it, and some higher ups in the Ministry (probably?) know he’s out there… killing people. He’s quite good, but that tracks with his dubious accounting of rights and wrongs and his penchant for self-preservation. During his downtime he does a great job of acting like a pureblood in penance... mostly by drinking and shagging his way into oblivion.
This double life helps to numb Draco to the constant feelings of shame and guilt from his formative years in which he was an utter cunt- but everything is upended when his team (assassins can have coworkers, alright?) dies in action and he does not. Suspended and forced to go to therapy, Draco is adrift.
When Hermione Granger re-enters the fray, their hateful relationship that was once fraught with swotty bickering (erm, and the occasional slur) is suddenly tense in a very different way.
How will these two come together? How often will Theo say something terribly charming? Do we hate Ron or is Ron just, meh? Oh, and what’s going on with that one murderous witch who’s out to kill them all (forgot to mention that part…)?
