Of all magical creatures, sirens are considered to be amongst the least manageable by the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. They hide in plain sight, influencing humans with their songs and their wiles, and any siren found is to be closely monitored and controlled. One siren is a major security risk.
Two sirens, on the other hand, is a catastrophe. For if they should find each other, and worse still, mate, they could tear the world asunder.
