Wilhelm returns to school after Christmas break with his horse. Riding was something he use to love. He stopped because Erik stopped and he had always fallen in-step behind his brother. Now, with his brother gone, and his mother's insistence that his new role as Crown Prince is to be placed above all else, Wilhelm insist on getting back in the saddle, to claw back a piece of himself. Summary
After leaving Hillerska for Christmas break, Wilhelm sets up a live press conference to announce his sexuality and win Simon back. It goes less well than he would hope, leading to a horribly negative public response that places both him and Simon in danger.
As Wille works to mend his broken psyche and his relationship with Simon, he realizes some things about himself and how he wants to live his life.
Meanwhile Simon struggles with how to balance his feelings for Wille and the very real danger that being with the Crown Prince of Sweden puts him in.

“Come on! Let’s go!” Simon screamed from the driver’s seat of his car, banging on the door through his open window. Wille could see through the window of his bedroom the excited grin that took over all of Simon’s face.
Simon had called him last night to tell him to get up early the next morning as they were going camping. He had found them one of the best spots last minute and, according to Rosh, it was impossible to get such a good spot less than months in advance; there must have been a cancellation because there they were, ready to spend a few days alone together in the woods. With other people on the sites nearby, but still. Wille wasn’t sure he would survive the trip.
“Wille! Come on!” Simon screamed again.
“I’m coming!” Wille screamed back, rolling his eyes.

“I mean, from what I’ve seen about the honeymoon plans, they have booked a suite, a huge room. There are so many different activities offered and already paid for, we don’t even have to see each other except in passing,” Simon explained.
“Yeah, whatever,” Wilhelm agreed with a shrug. “But you better keep to your space, and I’ll keep to mine.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Summary
TL;DR: In my household we speculate quite a bit about Season 2 of Young Royals and eventually someone just yells "You fix it!" This is my attempt at fixing it.
Wille has betrayed Simon for the same reason his own mother betrayed Wille: The Crown. He vows to make things right.
During Christmas break Wille has a number of realizations about the impact of his actions on Simon and he does everything in his power to be the kind of person he wants to be. He talks to Erik in his head. Felice and Madison are themselves, and all Wille wants is for Simon to embarrass him and make him blush. But Simon is still, rightfully, very much upset with him. Wille knows he can't fix it, but maybe he can make it better.
This story begins during Wille's phone call with Kristina and continues into the next school term. At first Wille spends quite a bit of time by himself but connects with Simon once he's back at Hillerska. Inevitable mature content.

Wilhelm feels the blush on his cheeks deepen upon hearing his name on the boy’s lips. He can’t seem to find his voice again, his mind going blank. Felice did tell him what she wanted to order, right?
The waiter must have noticed he’s struggling but he only smiles a little, almost like he’s holding back a chuckle. Which does not help Wilhelm, because if his neutral, slightly tired expression was attractive before, now he’s just… wow, Wille’s brain shuts down again."
