Wanderer is artificial skin stretched over fake limbs and gaping cavities and he was never meant to be anything else. His mother gave him a heart and then she took it away and that was the first time he realised that not being empty is a privilege reserved for humans and gods and that he will never be able to become either.

Horrifyingly, the next thing that comes out of Wanderer’s mouth is, “Where have you been staying then?”
“Here and there,” Kazuha muses, looking up at the sky. The sun is coming down hard and Wanderer can see the bottom of his smile like this. “Why?” he inquires, a teasing glint to his eyes when he meets his gaze again. “Are you offering?”
“No,” Wanderer snips and turns around, successfully ending this conversation by walking away.

Summary
Following the events of the 3.2 Archon quest, Scaramouche finds himself with the opportunity to start again. But is it worth it?
Because going back to square one and picking himself up again is exhausting. All his efforts have been in vain, and only his wretched emotions remain. Perhaps the people of Sumeru, their gentle god, and a certain maple-adorned wanderer can bring the shine back into his eyes.
