Did I mention that it is _the best_ fix-it fic? Well, there are probably many more worth recognition, but for now it stays my number one. The author wasn't afraid to use hurt/comfort at its painful best and I loved it. The characters were lovely, the threat terrible, so many emotions reading, just great!... <3 I will be surely going back to it^^

Lan Qiren would like to not be in this situation. There are too many absurdities to contend with at the same time, and Lan Qiren is determined to blame every last one of them solely on Wei Wuxian. Among aforementioned absurdities, in no particular order, are:
A loudly braying donkey.
A surprisingly even louder Lan Jingyi, wrangling said donkey while making a valiant yet futile effort to avoid swearwords – both of which Lan Qiren intends to reprimand him for as soon as his life returns to some semblance of sanity.
The entire fact that said donkey requires wrangling in the first place due to the ill-advised end-goal being to transport the animal via sword.
The fact that this means that Lan Qiren is left to wrangle the demonic-cultivating, donkey-owning, exonerated menace of the entire cultivation world in general and Lan Qiren’s existence in particular, Wei Wuxian.
Yes, this is all Wei Wuxian’s fault.
Or: Wei Wuxian is injured on a night hunt, and Lan Qiren is stuck having to deal with it.

He finds himself tangled within a forbidden array that throws him back to his sixteen-year old self. Between living his past once again and what it seems to be a messed up forbidden spell, he is determined to save all those he loves this time.
But it would mean leaving his husband behind and face a Lan Zhan that does not know their relationship.
It also involves a whole lot of self-sacrificing stuff to do, but then again, it's Wei Wuxian who we're talking about.
This time, however, although he is able to control resentful energy to its completeness, there are new things that are out of his reach.
Attempt the impossible, right?
Or, Wei Wuxian is thrown back in time with a countdown engraved in his soul.

Bilbo Baggins wants to do something special to repay Maglor for helping him with his writing over the years he's spent retired in Rivendell. Unfortunately, the elf in question is a little hesitant to cooperate, once he knows what his little hobbit friend wants to do. Not that his request is unreasonable, not in the slightest, but Maglor has a rather complex relationship with his memories, and isn't quite sure how he feels about having them recorded for posterity.
Still, if it makes the halfling happy...
A continuation of 'Return to Life', this story is mainly going to be little snippets and vignettes of Maglor's new life in Imladris, mostly out of order and mostly unrelated.

Part two; more of Maglor's suffering and his new life! Well, being honest, in this part I mostly admired how real Maglor feels. He deteriorates, he has flashbacks, he is scared and tired... He acts very real, like an truly immortal person who has seen some things and just tries to have some rest, but is tormented by own mind. But it is not so dark, he has also friends and family. Celebrian and Elrond are just very cute.

Maglor. A lot of suffering? A lot of suffering! It's an extremely nice story about Maglor and Elrond's reunion. It is sweet and heartwarming (yes, I say it with the amount of angst that is in this fic, angst can result in the most heartwarming scenes). I loved the dream metaphors and Elrohir addressing Maglor as his grandfather does not cease to amaze me :D. And let me be a monster for a moment: nice PTSD as well :D.

There is something really moving in dear author's style. The story is touching on itself, but how it is written is another matter and I think it is brilliant (it is not yet finished while I am writing those words, but I don't think that feature can change). I am immersed and I recommend it for all Elrond - Maglor fans. Worth it.

I hadn't bookmarked this yet? It seems I didn't! Well, let's change it, shall we? It is one of the most interesting fanfictions I have read. It takes the tropes from Tolkien's works and creates something new and fresh. Pairing is (apparently non-existing before it) quite uniqe, but truly charming. I rarely read fanficks with well... romance, but this one is... I don't want to repeat myself, but unique :DD. I give it a high grade and a lot of love.
Ambience is strong with this one, too!
