“I can't be with you...” Anthony uttered, pity filling his dark eyes.
James had expected it, a swirling storm of rejection, carving a tornado's destructive path through his heart.
The next part of Anthony's sentence provided just a tuppence of blessed relief, adequate to lighten the stormy cloud cover, but not enough to make the sun peek through. “...Right now.”
James' heart leapt, skipping a beat as a runner jumped a hurdle. There was a 'but', a caveat. A promise that one day they would fulfil what they both wanted.

“...To a woman?” Julian chances, being the first to speak.
Captain James Hutchins (The Captain to his co-workers) has been working at Button House PLC for a year. The job is... well, it's okay. However, the office does not know about his husband, who has just been re-stationed for six months. When his co-workers find out about his husband Anthony's existence, they become curious.
The Captain is about to have lots of questions to answer.

She can feel her eyes watering up in relief. Thank you, God, she sends heavenward, into the clouds even higher than their cruising altitude.
“Can you fly an A320?”
Captain Mitchell smiles at her and, good lord, he really is a miracle.
“Ma’am, if it has wings, I can fly it,” he winks and adds, “Hell, I can probably manage even if it doesn’t.”
