Summary
Notes from the Cobalt Soul, attached to a piece of stained glass depicting the Slaying of The Executioner, thought to have been crafted shortly before the end of the Calamity
Not much is known about the Executioner, beyond the fact that he was one of the Dawnfather’s Champions during the Calamity.
It is said the Dawnfather’s Executioner begged for no grave. As such, after being slayed by the Betrayer’s forces, no search party was sent after him. Recovery of the artifacts he fought with is unlikely at best.
There is no way to determine whether rumors about him being related to Asmodeus’ first Champion are true, but historical evidence suggests they clashed frequently enough during their lifetimes. Perhaps the rumors originated from here.

Summary
Out of all the things Ace doesn't expect to happen today, getting pushed off the platform by one of his executioners is high on the list.
But, you know, since his little brother fell from the sky then challenged his captain for the Pirate King's throne, maybe that's his mistake. Maybe he should have expected it.
(or: in which Nami makes good use of her Mirage Tempo, Ace is very surprised, Whitebeard very happy, and Sengoku extremely homicidal.)

Summary
Denjiro learns that it's never too early to starve at about seven years old, and it never quite leaves him. It tears a hole through him, of fear and anger and deep, relentless bitterness, a bottomless well he could drown in if he wasn't so determined to drown everyone else.
And he survives on poison, until Lord Oden.
(or:
Even today, seventeen years in service of a ghost, it is impossible to explain devotion.)

utterly, completely heartfelt and lovely, with a pitch-perfect and nearly picked-out-of-my-mind characterization. would lay down my life for the dialogue. would lay down my life for the complex relationships and the care through it all. why do we tell stories indeed

Summary
Minutes or hours later, he leans back on his chair, gaze appraising. It’s not bad, objectively speaking, even if he’s not completely sure what it’s supposed to be. It’s just a rough sketch, but — it’s like Yatora does when it comes to people. When he doesn’t know what someone is thinking, he colors them. He bleeds inside the line.
Art is made by people, for people. It doesn’t all have to be all-encompassing and entirely different to what he’s always known. A language without words is still a language, and language, above all things, is human.
He looks at the lines on paper. At the smearing of graphite on his knuckles. Out the window, the day has long fallen into night.
He colors it in.
Or, Yaguchi Yatora paints the entire world blue. Featuring where the world ends, Van Gogh, and a problem to solve, to the metaphorical tune of 'Bluets' by Maggie Nelson.

Bookmarker's Notes
Do you ever read a fic with two character and go "oh, wow, I'm never going to be able to read anything else with them in it"? This is that fic for me. It's wonderful and hopeful and gentle, and I read it and immediately lost it and then spent the last 5 months searching for it.
As for everything I bookmark, it deserves a read.

Bookmarker's Notes
I stopped being interested in Harry Potter like three years ago and yet I reread this every two months, and still choke up at it. This is beautiful, made of nuances of grey, fantastic characterization wise, and it deserves your time and attention, I promise.
