After nearly 20 years on Earth, Eddie was well and truly used to getting carried away; his out-of-control imagination would grab a concept in its greedy little hands and bolt – catapulting between ideas, fantasies and ever-more-complicated scenarios before he’d even had the chance to really think.
It was an uncontrollable kind of thing, the way his brain just seemed to latch and run with it.
And, well, sometimes it worked out; there were song lyrics (Corroded Coffin’s finest, if he said so himself), D&D campaigns (more than a few inspired narrative twists) – even poems (shut up).
And sometimes, like now, it really, really didn’t.

She’d just worked her fingers under the band of her panties when all the sudden Eddie’s bedroom door was kicked open hard enough that it hit the wall behind it with a thud and Chrissy yelped, jerking her hand from her shorts and sitting bolt upright to find Eddie standing there. He was grinning at first but it sort of froze on his face as his eyes flicked from her open shorts to her face.
“Uh.” He finally said and Chrissy thought it couldn’t get any worse until someone else stepped in behind him. A girl, nearly Eddie’s height, with teased dark brown hair and wearing a black mini skirt and leopard print crop top, wrists full of bracelets.
