Usually, when faced with one of Harry's non sequiturs, Kim would intentionally force his face to remain neutral, carefully hiding either confusion or a grin.
This time however, he opened his mouth to speak, then stopped himself before a single word left his lips. His eyebrows creased in a look of intense concentration, while his gaze went right through Harry, then snapped back into focus. Before the lieutenant was able to reign in his expression again, something flickered over his face.

“It doesn’t matter!” she scoffed, “It’s still a security risk that he can narrow our location down at all! Also,” she jutted her arms out towards the bed a second time, “May I remind you? ONE. BED. ONE!”

Rebecca grabbed a drink and was making her way towards the food table when someone caught her eye. He had a black and red suit with a tall collar, and he held a cane positioned firmly at his side. He was certainly attractive, with a lean build and short brown hair, but he also had noticeable bags under his eyes; he definitely hadn’t been sleeping much recently. The most intriguing thing about him, though, was that he was standing alone at the base of the stairs.
Rebecca gets invited to a party and meets a very nice (albeit strange) man. Nothing could possibly go wrong for her.
