“Congrats boys,” the guard said, swinging open the cell door and stepping aside. “You’re free to go.”
“Thank you,” Shane muttered at the floor, stepping over the threshold and coming to a stop in front of Ilya, who was standing a few feet in front of the door with his arms crossed and face unmoving. Shane couldn’t even bring himself to look up; he didn’t want Ilya’s expression ingrained in his mind any more than it already was.
Luca mumbled his thanks to the guard and followed suit, coming to stand next to Shane, his head bowed.
Ilya huffed a sound of disappointment as he looked them over, before uttering his first word of the night.
“Walk.”OR
Shane and Luca get arrested after getting into a bar fight. Ilya is not happy with them.

And if that does happen, despite the fact that it shouldn't, you're definitely not supposed to lie to your soulmate's face, refuse to say his name in return, and pretend that you never felt your soulmark appear at all. And if that happens, somehow, you're definitely not supposed to kiss him less than a year later. And then later. And then later. And then later, until you realize you never want to leave his bed despite the fact that you've never told him the truth about the bear tattoo on your chest.
