Summary
The first time she meets him, he's nothing more than an almost-missed appointment.
~~~
Dean is silent for a long, tense moment, then he gruffly says, "It's not for banishing the angels. It's to summon them. So, it doesn't—it's not to get rid of 'em, but to draw 'em in."
Mitzi can't help but glance up at him at that. His voice is so heavy with so much unexplained pain, and she doesn't understand why, or what angels have to do with it. She knows religion can impact people. She's very aware that it can get complicated, and that it can be a huge source of pain for someone, but Dean sounds grievously wronged, somehow, as if it's a truly personal thing.
She pushes through, focusing back on her job, clearing her throat before murmuring, "Well, I guess we all want angels to visit us sometimes."
"Just the one," Dean mumbles.
"Your guardian angel?" Mitzi asks.
Dean breathes out, "Something like that. As close to one as an angel will ever get."
Summary
Original prompt: Castiel is very straight laced, level headed and from a deeply religious family. He doesn’t believe in sex before marriage and has never had any problems resisting because even though he has liked girls in the past it’s never gone past friendship, never been attraction. Dean is all kinds of messed up. John sexually abuses him after Mary’s death and after John’s death Dean turns to drugs and crime and his self-hate gets so bad he cuts his wrists. But Sam and Jess find him and send him to rehab where of course Cas works. And when Dean needs a place to stay well what else would a guy like Cas do but offer his own spare room?
Or,
The one where Castiel may end up needing to pray for salvation for the both of them.
Summary
Written for the SPNTC 2019 challenge (Thanksgiving-mini)
Ending in a precinct a day before Thanksgiving only happens to the unlucky Dean Winchester who has to stomach potent scents of Alpha officers and criminals alike after finding himself alone when his brother got arrested after protecting him from feral attackers.
Alone and still very much unmated in the middle of Alphas, Dean almost faces another sequence of attacks when someone takes the bench beside him with the most soothing scent like an oasis in a dry land. A very attractive Alpha sits there filling the omega with scent only a particular truemate can give. Dean finds hope in his perpetual misery. Except the Alpha doesn't even look at him. How the heck is Dean to get him?
But already, Thanksgiving in prison beside this handsome Alpha is not bad at all.
Summary
So what if Castiel likes that the strange, leather-jacket wearing guy in the library keeps staring at him? And so what if he's a teensy bit attractive? It's not like Castiel's going to ever tell him that. But then the boy, the infamous Dean Winchester, Casanova of the college, is standing there in front of him, asking him out.
And Castiel says no.
But then Dean is leaving. With a promise.
A promise Castiel isn't sure how he's going to complete. How is Dean going to make Castiel love him? And why is Dean so obsessed with Castiel? Surely he's just playing around, right? He has plenty of pretty women begging for him, and yet, here Dean is, standing with a guitar in his hand, serenading Castiel with love songs.
God, Dean Winchester is a pain in Castiel's ass.
Surprisingly enough, Castiel finds himself liking it.
Summary
Jim Morrison once said, “The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are.” That was Castiel Novak’s motto in life, and the reason why he accepted his grandmother's inheritance and took the responsibility it implied.
Dean Winchester, a remarkable accountant at Sandover Bridge & Iron Inc., however, had other priorities. He lived to serve, hidden in a mask that didn’t allow him to be honest with himself, but lonesome and boring.
When destiny made their paths cross, in a less than promising way, with Dean as the instigator and Castiel as his victim, Dean’s mind started wandering, in between pies and cakes, coffees and muffins... What if Mr. Morrison was right?
After all, as the guy used to say, "there can’t be any large-scale revolution, until there’s a personal revolution first."
