The continuing story of Anne with an E because I need to know what happened so this is my version of events.
And it is written as a prequel to my 'Moments' series. Enjoy!

Everyone in Avonlea loved him, though he hadn’t been living here in ten years. He was smart, thoughtful and kind. “And handsome to boot”, Diana had said. Compared to the orphan girl who came to the Cuthberts at the tender age of eleven, he was a veritable golden boy. She heard a lot about him in her first months here.
Anyway forget him, she had her own dreams to worry about and Anne Shirely-Cuthbert was tired of waiting to hear if they were coming true or not. She had been waiting for a call back for the past bajillion hours. Surely they should have made a decision by now.
Also, she would meet this mystery boy someday right? maybe.

“Have you and Marilla been in cahoots? You sound just like her” she laughed, but dropped his hand and started to walk back up the beach, Gilbert following after her with his hands deep in his pockets.
“Yes, we discussed it at our weekly ‘What Is Anne Shirley Thinking Conference’” he joked. She turned walking backwards across the sand so that she was facing him. “Don’t joke about that, Marilla would be totally up for that meeting, and Rachel Lynde would be vice president” she laughed,
“More like recurring guest speaker” He added.
OR
The gang go for a relaxing Caribbean get away and Anne and Gilbert make lots of bad decisions.....throw in lots of misunderstandings, jumping to the wrong conclusion, fluff, angst, movie references, and some music, and Anne and Gil do what they do best....find each other in any universe that they discover themselves dropped into.

She smirks at the sight.“Why, Mr Blythe, are all the Parisians as clumsy as you are?” Anne is relieved by the steadiness of her voice, even though her heart is thumping in her chest and her mind is whirling with questions as to why he is back, why now.
Gilbert goes to Paris, Anne goes to Queens, and years later they both return to Avonlea and meet again. They should be older and wiser, but when neither of ever admits to their mistakes and misunderstandings, will they ever sort themselves out?
