A whole new world with brand new opportunities opens at her feet. Friendship, trust, love... all these concepts she never got the chance to experience are going to change her life.
Her 17th summer will definitely not be boring.This story takes place in Rick Riordan's universe but involves the main characters from SheRa. No protagonist from Percy Jackson is part of it.

She had Adam’s jacket on but , other than that, they were noticeable. Glimmer now studied her as well as Bow and Adora found herself blushing at the attention. She took the time to compare their attire to hers and she frowned. They were nothing alike.
“Who are you..?” Glimmer trailed off, looking at Adora with the same confused gaze Adora was giving them.
“Adora.”

She brushes against Adora’s jaw and considers this other version of herself. They can’t be that different. They both opened a portal, with devastating results. They both chose to stay with the Horde instead of chasing after Adora like a kitten. From her vantage point, the only reason this version of Catra became accepted was because someone else intervened and saved Adora. That doesn’t mean she’s a good person. She got lucky.

"No, rewind a bit.” The words came out harder than she intended. "I thought…" Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out. "I thought it was because Adora was studying abroad in Salineas. Not because…" She opened her eyes. Swallowed. "Is she still in Salineas?"
Concern settled across Scorpia's face. "I mean… yeah, she was, but she came back already." And then, slowly, carefully, "But that doesn't change what I said."
Catra felt herself sitting up.
"She and Huntara broke up before she left."
For a full second, the world went very quiet.
Then Catra was off the couch before anyone could react. The door swung open and banged against the wall. She was already through it.
Her shoes hit the pavement and she broke into a sprint, blowing past the bus stop on the corner because stopping, waiting, or standing still were not options her body was willing to do right now. She cut a hard left that ran straight to the campus center building she hadn't stepped foot in for over a year. She wasn't thinking about how she hadn't done real cardio in forever or the stitch already forming under her ribs.
The only thought she could even remotely sustain was…
Adora Grayskull was single.

A mix between a squeak and a choke broke She-Ra away from her own thoughts as she looked up to see Catra open mouthed staring at her. Their eyes caught and Catra immediately cleared her throat and averted her gaze, her cheeks seemingly flushed beneath her fur. Next to her, the glowing eyes in Shadow Weaver’s mask cut down to slits, first at Catra before regarding She-Ra with an inquisitive tilt of her head.
“You speak Eternian, Princess Adora.” It was a statement and not a question.
“I—”
“Have you always spoken Eternian?” Glimmer leaned forward curiously. The expression on her face was one of surprise mixed with guilt, as if this was something she should’ve known about Adora but didn’t. In the chair slightly above her, the Queen’s face looked more severe as she glared at She-Ra, her mouth in a tight line.

According to Catra, it's a piece of shit fake-out where pastry peddlers lie, cheat and slander their way into publishing one cookbook after their five minutes of fame expires.
She's always wanted to win it.
That doesn't change when she finds out Adora's going to be in the tent with her, but a lot else does. Shenanigans ensue.

It doesn’t matter that they haven't been friendly with each other for ages, that each training session they had was filled with nasty jeers and emotional stabs, because deep down they knew one another.
Their short program went perfectly yesterday, giving them a strong start. This free skate will capture their win, Catra’s sure of it. They’re the final performance.
As they reach their starting positions on the rink, the crowd goes quiet. In fact, the whole world goes quiet, and it’s just Adora and Catra staring at each other. Their arguments and bickering melt away, and Adora peers straight into Catra’s soul, as though to ask if she’s ready.
Catra doesn’t have time to respond. The music kicks up and her body starts moving, muscle memory already in play.
