Post-civil war, the 'rogues' are avengers on a probationary basis. Bucky still went to Wakanda, and got de-HYDRA. Peter's internship is real, he spends time with Tony in the lab making little gadgets n shit for Stark Ind. Exposition OVER!
Peter didn't realise it until he was sat at Tony's bedside after the whole 'Zemo' fight thing, but when he and Steve had their fight... Peter could have DIED.
To be fair, since then, he'd been through a few more near-death experiences (he's a vigilante, it's an occupational hazard), but this is still the first time a HERO was the one to hurt him. Looks like Tony's not the only one who has some healing to do in the aftermath of Steve's... well.Bucky was healed from all the HYDRA bullshit, so why was he freezing up every time he saw the spider-kid? He's nothing on the ex-Winter Soldier, master assassin- no, you know what? Fuck that, the kid caught his METAL ARM. What the FUCK?? That warrants some caution. It's not irrational, Sam, fuck you too!
TL:DR; Peter is avoiding Steve because he has trauma from the airport fight. Bucky avoids Peter because the kid's STRONG. Miscommunications ensue.

Peter knew that tone all too well. As of late, it’d been used more towards Mister Stark when he would let the boy stay out a little too late or he got hurt over something stupid.He forgot how scary it was to be at the end of it. So, Pete hurried on out of his room and over where his aunt was by the front door. “Yeah?” He asked once there.
“Mind explaining why the fuck Captain America is knocking on the door?” May asked in a hushed scold.
“Wait, what?” Peter asked, wide-eyed and peeked out the little peep hole on the door. Sure enough, the man stood there holding an old notebook and what looked like either a notepad or sketchbook. “Holy…”

Summary
After losing Aunt May, Peter moves to live into the Avengers Compound. However, during his mourning, he distances himself from mostly everyone (even Tony a bit), and he's anxious of the other residents.
Upon meeting some of the scarier residents of the compound, Peter gets knocked over on his back during a spar. Tickle fights occur.
But, hey, what was he expecting? What were they supposed to do - not have a tickle fight with the newest addition to their team?

And he thought about it. He really did. He thought about the quiet that he’d experienced, the silence in his brain as he stepped off that roof in contrast to the small buzzing of their coffee machine or the birds on the balcony. He thought about the absence of fear and the blatant emotionlessness of it all, the disregard for life in its entirety as he let himself be taken by gravity and he pondered the absence of fear in this very moment, staring into Sam and Bucky’s fond eyes. He searched the depths of himself, the peace that he’d felt in those few seconds of lifeless falling, and then he compared it to the peace he was finding bit by bit in the slowly rising sun he could see from Sam and Bucky’s couch.
Falling, shockingly, came up short.
