“Do I have something on my face?” Will asks eventually. His eyes are closed again, and Mike's heart stops.
“No,” he manages.
“No?” Will turns his head to the side, opens his eyes more. It's only now that Mike realises they're so close together, and Will's face looks as unguarded as Mike has seen it in years. “So what are you looking at?”
Will might still be a little tipsy too, so there isn’t much he can hide in his current state, and Mike is secretly grateful for that because that makes it possible for him to notice that Will is blushing.
