Summary
Dream sat on the throne, listening to the royal court talking. He had only recently ascended to the throne after fighting against his uncle, who attempted to steal it from him. This was only one of the reasons for the tense atmosphere in the room, one that made Dream hold back a smirk.
Dream had never planned to become emperor, he had always thought that the title would go to his elder brother, the former emperor’s biological child. However, his brother had given up the title of hair, leaving it to be passed to Dream. The younger hadn’t been heir for over a year before his mother was assassinated while he was out, and his uncle attempted to take the throne.
The blond knew not everyone was happy he had become emperor. Some people had supported his uncle, and since he didn’t have royal blood, many saw him as unfit. He knew they would be calling for him to marry the child of another empire and produce an heir soon, in hopes that they could have some semblance of royal blood remain in the empire’s rulers.
Dream however… well, he had other plans.

Summary
Dream started to walk back towards his own apartment, the further he went, the less ‘rich’ everything looked. From pristine new buildings came the old familiar brick walls. Some windows in peoples homes were broken, even using duct tape to cover it. Weeds stuck out along the cracked sidewalks. Graffiti was plastered almost everywhere, lamp posts on the streets were not working yet again, and a bloodied kid who looked about near death in an alleyway. Yep, normal things in the West End.
…Wait.
Whipping his head back and taking a few steps backward, Dream had to give a second take if he actually saw that. The answer was yes, it was a kid bleeding out in the alleyway. When Dream went closer, he found out it wasn’t just any kid but one of the members from the Syndicate, the villains. He had blonde hair, a red mask covering his eyes, and a red and white hoodie which was covered in blood near the stomach area.
