2157. A few weeks into the First Contact War...
The young space explorer and 2nd Lt, Steven Hackett, has volunteered for a black ops incursion in turian space. A small, handpicked team, squared away outside the wire, sets out to search for a rogue drone with a top secret load.The mission start out according to plan but derails when the team is intercepted by a turian patrol on their way back to the shuttle.
The recent war and first contact is new enough for neither squad to have encountered the other species in the flesh before.
Before this encounter is over, these humans and turians are up for some (ugly) surprises.

Now they slowly take over more and more of the 'investigation' from the Committee, an 'investigation' which from the start never was more than a formality to appease the Batarians.
But the IA claim to be concerned by Shepard's meddling with Cerberus and slowly attain more and more decision making influence over Shepard's detention.
