There is a moment that he takes a deep breath, eyes opening finally as Sett still holds his chin gently.
“Please allow me, this once, to follow through with a lead.”
“No. It screams fishy, we’re not riskin’ ya for some kind of trap.” Hwei watched the focused expression shift into a deep-set frown. Troubled. “It’s not worth it.”
“Yet what if it is? What if this is a genuine lead that will further both of our goals? If it turns out to be a trap then I shall go alone. No one else will be injured in this investigation. Every mark should have meaning, this must be something. Please allow me to investigate it.”
Was Sett’s softness being extended towards Hwei?
Even he could not decipher the expression that Sett wore as he pulled back. Though a hand brushes a curl behind his ear, and for a moment Hwei thinks of someone else doing the same motion.
But his touch was warming, but that warmth was something that should be reserved for Aphelios.

When staying in Koyehn, Jhin observed that Hwei was constantly taking medication that was interfering with his personality and making him more functional according to the temple's norms. And wanting to see the man of the rumors he had heard so much about (a painter, with chameleon eyes, whose paintings were so creative and personality so confusing), he decides that... well, perhaps it would be a good idea making Hwei stop taking the medications.
Especially because his masters were not only trying to control him but also imprison him.

"Narancia just shrugs, picking at a thread on the tablecloth and looking utterly miserable. Fugo can tell just by looking at him that he doesn’t want to bother anyone, and especially he doesn’t want to be a problem for Buccellati to solve. It makes Fugo’s chest tighten for some reason, the way Narancia sits there in silence like a troublesome kid who’s being scolded by his parents for not behaving the way he’s expected to.
“I don’t mind sharing my flat with him,” Fugo declares before he even realises what he is doing."

Young and helpless and so unlike the Fugo he knew – the Fugo who wielded cutlery like a deadly weapon and who possessed the most dangerous Stand on their team, even more dangerous than Giorno’s (at least in Narancia’s opinion). The Fugo whose fingers were gentle on Narancia’s scalp when he bumped or cut his head, so gentle that Narancia was surprised he hadn’t really noticed how very pretty Fugo’s hands were...Pretty, delicate looking hands capable of murder.

Abbacchio huffed in exasperation. "Assuming we have gone back in time, what do we do?"
"We change our fate and with a little luck on our side we might all survive this time."
