Summary
Gojo Satoru is rich. Like, stupidly, unbelievably rich - the heir to one of Japan's biggest corporate empires, in fact. He's resigned himself to this fate, only looking to take what opportunities he can to hang out with his friends and have a good time whilst he still has at least some freedom. Or at least, that's what he thinks. Things start to change, however, when his parents pay for a private tutor to help repair his dismal grades. Satoru gets more than he bargained for when he starts to get to know his knew tutor and fellow high school student, Getou Suguru.

Shoko keeps asking him if they fell out because of a fight, or something. He assures her it’s much simpler than that:
Satoru moved to Kyoto for university, and Suguru stayed in Tokyo. They didn’t really keep in touch.
Sad, sure— but such fates are met by plenty of childhood friends.
(He knows Shoko texts Satoru a lot, knows they kept in contact— and he wonders if she asks him the same question: Did you have a fight?
He wonders if Satoru gives her a different answer.)

Or: Despite all the memories coloring their childhood, at twenty-four, Suguru hadn't seen Satoru for years. And then he's there, again, in his life, abrupt and distracting and mesmerizing like a snowstorm, and Suguru has a lifetime or feelings he seems to have gotten too old to ignore.
