Summary
Mickey attends an alumni reunion with his best friend Angie. Ian attends with his birther Lip and his girlfriend Vanessa (am mix of Amanda and my own creation)
Mickey is no longer in the closet. Ian and Mickey had a sexual relationship before Mickey ended it due to his paranoia that his dad would find out. He ends up going to juvie but does not see Ian again.
Ian was diagnosed bipolar which is mentioned in this fic. He does get placed in a mental facility but then moves away to go to school. Ian becomes an EMT in New York. Ian was involved in an accident while on the job where he had head trauma. He looses his memory for certain events that had proved to be traumatic or cause him emotional trauma. Ian remembers Mickey; just not their short-lived relationship.
The ski resort that the reunion is held at looses power, Ian and Mickey are then sharing close quarters. Ian does tell him what had happened after high school; they agree to start over. Mickey finds out Ian was originally planning on hooking up with someone else. Mickey's low self-esteem takes over and starts to doubt Ian's intentions and how his memory may not return. He gets assigned to a pro bono case and the first time he speaks to his client the client is pissed at him for reasons unknown.
Then they begin to unravel their pasts that were entwined before they even met.
