Summary
Dazai never celebrated his birthdays Never. He even went out of his way to make sure no one even knew when his birthday was in the first place.
But when Atsushi approached him on his birthday and conveniently asked him when it was, he knew he had some explaining to do.
OR
Author wrote this in six hours with writers block and finished six minutes before it was technically due (and while feeling pretty sleep deprived) so he could finish up for Dazai's birthday and post this. Sorry if it's crappy lol.

Summary
No one can predict how their life will be catastrophically changed, especially not a fake psychic detective.
The years after High School when Shawn had run had been a hollowness in Gus' life that only didn't become a gaping wound because of the postcards and phone calls. Then all that pain slipped away when Shawn wandered back to Santa Barbera. Now they have Psych and Gus is he happiest he's ever been.
But then one day, Henry's history of being an excellent cop comes back to ruin his life. But after being retired for so long, Henry never figured his career would destroy his son. Shawn is kidnapped by a man vowing revenge on Henry.
Two years pass before Shawn comes back home. But he's far from the man that they knew and loved. Shawn has been defiled and stripped of every dignity. His humanity raked from his flesh by vile, evil hands. Gus has never felt so useless in his life as he does when he looks in his best friend's eyes now. But he won't let some bastard win. Gus vows to bring Shawn back from the depths, even if it takes the rest of their lives.

He also, somewhat, wanted to distract himself. From all of it. From the crowd of people all muttering around him, from the friction of his clothes rubbing against him as he moved, from the stupid bright lights that wouldn’t stop buzzing. All of it was rubbing him the wrong way, making him feel as though he was going to lose it. All of this stupid stuff shouldn’t have been bothering him, it almost never did. But now it was, and he felt as though he was about to throw up. Or break down. Or cry. Or, D, all of the above.
One thing became crystal clear to him. If he didn’t get out of that room immediately, something bad was going to happen.
