“You’re late tonight, Cupcake,” Vi says.
“Ah. Yes. Indeed—well! You understand how Council meetings are. The more tedious and unimportant, the greater their determination to run through the night,” Caitlyn says, stepping behind the counter and reclaiming her bag. “And—shopping! I thought we’d better stock up before we found ourselves utterly bereft of food. I got your favourites, actually. I could make you dinner tonight?”
The offer hangs in the air. Caitlyn’s face is flushed, but Vi doesn’t question her. There’s no fun in trying to pry out whatever Caitlyn’s hiding; she always gives in too easily.
“Uh-huh,” Vi says.
“Right. Right. I’ll just—sorry to disturb you.”

Summary
Set after the events of Episode 09; Season compliant up until this point.
They reach Caitlyn's mansion and Vi is about to set off; in search for her sister; Powder.
Yet Caitlyn suggests to stay one night and rest up. Vi certainly looks like she needs this. And so she stays.When Caitlyn wakes up, she isn't alone in her bed. Over days she continues to wake up to Vi in her bed and each day the explanation differs.

Summary
She reached over to dip the small towel in a bowl of hot water, squeezing out the excess water before rubbing down Vi’s back again. Welts and harsh bruises were already forming from their game. And Caitlyn didn’t like it one bit, even if they would be gone by morning or even after a few hours.
“Did you try to eat every single rubber pellet I shot at you?”
The muscles under her hands flexed and relaxed as Vi tried to look at her. The soft rise and fall of broad shoulders caused Caitlyn to only glare at her.

“You work so hard,” Caitlyn answered earnestly as she set aside the jar. “And you’ve mentioned a few times how your body nearly always hurts. I thought, after a day like today, this would be a much deserved reprieve.”
Feeling brave and in love, Vi replied with a tilt of her head and a smile on her face, “Just admit it, Cupcake. You wanted to see me naked.”

Summary
A post-canon fic written in 2022 with only an urgent need to give Vi and Caitlyn a real and gentle romance. I love Jinx, especially in season 2, but in this fic I could not figure out a way to keep her in the story, so please proceed with caution if you're here for Jinx, because she isn't here for long. 😭
"Though their childhoods couldn’t have been more separate from one another, they had always gazed upon the same sky, full of crystal stars at night and bright with a clear blue in the day.
