Connor tries to tell himself, as he creeps closer, that he's doing it because he's worried about Hank; if it's a groan of pain, if Hank's fallen or sprained his ankle or if he's laid up in bed with a terrible headache, he may need Connor's help. May accept it, even if he can't admit he wants it. Checking on him is an act of kindness, and of friendship.
No matter how good Connor is at lying, he's not able to lie to himself for long. His lack of sexual experience doesn't mean he can't recognize the sounds of someone engaging in sexual activities. He hasn't had much luck finding pornography that's personally compelling to him, but his searches have already been fairly extensive.
