Summary
I’ve been waiting to get you alone,” the Alpha says in lieu of a greeting, moving closer. “You’re hard to get apart from the others, Spark.”
Stiles’ stomach sours as she recognizes the werewolf stalking her from across the clearing. “What makes you think I’m alone?” she tries. Stiles glances at the Nemeton between them, rapidly calculating her odds of reaching it before his teeth sink into her neck. The Alpha flashes her a grin, exposing his fangs as he calls her bluff without even pausing his stride. He’s too fast, too close. She’ll never be able to reach the Nemeton before he reaches her.
Or: An exhausted Spark on the verge of dropping runs into an Alpha werewolf in the woods who doesn't want to fight her. Instead, he wants to offer her the comfort and protection that she so badly craves. Stiles wants to know whether everything the Argents told her about Derek Hale is a lie. Derek just wants to show Stiles everything that she has been missing.

He’s massive, broad shoulders and bulging muscles. His head nearly touches the ceiling and his biceps are bigger than your head. His ears are still tipped red from the cold, cheeks a little ruddy where they disappear under his dark beard. His hair is shaved almost to his scalp, emphasizing a harsh look about him. He’s easily the largest Alpha you’ve ever seen in your life. And he’s got you cornered. Slowly, you tilt your head to one side, offering him your bare neck in submission.
“Ты чувствуешь себя лучше?” he says, the tone questioning. His voice is gruff, as though he hasn’t spoken in a while, but quieter than what you expected, no trace of an Alpha command.

Summary
Part of Stiles, most likely the part of her with functioning survival instincts, wants nothing more than to bolt. But bolting now would be sheer cowardice and John Stilinski’s daughter is not a coward. So she pushes back against all her instincts to run from the apex predator stalking towards her and instead takes the outstretched hand he offers her.
Or: Stiles is a Spark who's stumbles onto Scott and his pack while running for her life after being kidnapped and tortured for two years. Derek is the grouchy pack alpha (with a hidden heart of gold) who clearly hates her but lets her stay because of Scott. Has she finally found peace or will the threats that circle this pack and the darkness growing within her ruin her newfound family?

Summary
Bilba has been a slave her entire life. All she knows of the outside world is what she sees from time to time outside the gates of Moria and the stories her mother used to tell her. Stories of a place called the Shire where her mother once lived and a placed called Erebor where, as far as she knows, her father still lives. Stories of dragons a thousand times larger, and more intelligent, than the beasts the orcs rode and of a strange concept called freedom where one was allowed to live as they wished with no one to tell them what they could, or could not do.
The stories meant little to Bilba. The only future she had was to live, and die, as a slave as countless number had before her.
And then the orcs dragged an injured female firedrake through the gates, her rider screaming obscenities behind her as he fought to reach her side...and everything changed.
