Summary
“Duck,” is the only thing he hears before a knife is sailing over his head, hitting a demon right in his glowing ruby eye. It dissipates into golden dust, the ashes flying away, carried by the wind.
Karl turns to Sapnap with eyes wide in terror.
“Thanks,” he says, a slight tremor in his voice.
“C’mon, we need to move,” Sapnap responds, sheathing his other knife. He looks around, spotting his gun lying in the grass, dropped there during the fight and picks it up, hiding it in the lapels of his jacket.
Sapnap and Karl need to resupply and run into some trouble.

Everyone is born with a soulmark. Coming in various shapes and sizes, it can manifest on any part of the body and closely resembles a scar. It’s supposed to guide you towards your other half, the person with a matching soulmark, who will love and cherish you, and understand you on the deepest level. Some even say soulmates share a mental connection, can feel each other’s emotions and read each other’s thoughts.

“Your Majesty looked like he needed a little help.” The man grins charmingly.
George is immediately intrigued. There’s not a lot of people with confidence to approach the king without even introducing themselves and then joke with him as if they are old friends.
“Thank you for your dashing rescue.” George decides to respond in kind.
“Of course. What kind of person would I be if I left my king in trouble?”
Dream is an assassin sent to eliminate the king. But fulfilling his objective becomes much more challenging when he falls in love with the man instead.

Summary
George and Dream had come to an agreement months ago when they both realized how deep their feelings for Sapnap ran. They didn’t want to argue and even more so, they didn’t want to stress Sapnap out with the thought of having to choose. So neither of them were allowed to confess to him, not unless the other got over their feelings and moved on.
As much as it hurt, it was the easiest answer. If Dream couldn’t have Sapnap, then George couldn’t either. If George couldn’t have Sapnap, then Dream couldn’t either. It was a classic love triangle, ripped straight from the pages of YA novels that George pretended he didn’t read. He had no intentions of making Sapnap into his Katniss though, and Dream didn’t either, so they were stuck. Eternal limbo between best friends and something romantic until one of them got over it. Privately, George hoped Dream would cave first and give up, even if it made him feel like a sack of shit to admit it. Dream may have been his rival, but he was also his best friend.

Being stuck and tortured endlessly in prison for 3 (or was it 4?) months did have a toll on a human being. Dream was no exception. But it’s not like there’s anything he could do.
So after trying to revive Wilbur, he expected to see Ghostbur gone.
He didn’t expect to wake up in a different world where the Dream SMP was just roleplay for fans.
And in his place was another Dream who didn’t expect to see his own server come to life.
(alt summary: c!dream and cc!dream switch places in the dsmp world and the real world, where both of them either get therapy or become a therapist.)

It's been three months since the coup. Three months since Sapnap, a knight, and George, his prince, have been chased out of their home. Three months of being on the run, trying to find a safe way out of Kinoko without being caught by the president's mercenaries or an opportunistic bounty hunter.
It's hard, but it would be a lot easier if he didn't have to worry about George's sudden taste for wandering. Or the two guides that have worked their way into his group, promising them a safer way out of the kingdom. And it would be a whole lot easier if Sapnap wasn't flying solo, doing a job made for two.
And then there's the Godling to worry about. Yeah. That's a whole thing.
