Summary
A scream ripped through the air, knocking Coles song to abrupt silence. It was a horrible, agony filled screech, echoing through the cave long after it had pierced the once light atmosphere. Cole’s ears rang, his heart pumped, and he sprinted like he’d never done before, deciding now would be a good time to pick up the pace. The only thing Cole could think of as his legs felt numb and his breath ran short was : what the hell what the hell what the hell what the HELL. The ground suddenly looked darker, but he couldn’t stop yet. No. Not until he found out who—or what— had yelled. Maybe Jay was right. Maybe Vangelis was freed. Maybe—
