“I said! I like you, Sunghoon hyung!!” The junior continues, cheeks flushed as he stares at where Sunghoon is sitting beside Jake. The boy’s eyes flit over at Jake for a second, and Jake swears the boy glares at him.
Sunghoon’s sitting frozen beside him, just staring at his junior. Everyone at the bar is either looking at the junior or Sunghoon, waiting for some kind of response. Jake, after a few tense seconds, takes pity on the poor junior and nudges Sunghoon.
“What?” Sunghoon turns his head to him.
“You shouldn't leave him hanging, you know.” Jake gestures to the stage.
“Oh,” Sunghoon stares at Jake, “Yeah, you’re right.”

Sunghoon and Jake are friends. That's why Jake drowns his sorrows in alcohol after someone confesses to Sunghoon, convinced that the younger will get together with them.

Jaeyun always wanted to start his life anew, it was his goal to finally not feel like a burden to his mother and grandparents, so he packed up his bags and travelled all the way to Seoul to pursue his goals in a half-vampire half-werewolf academy, not knowing that his one and only soulmate will end up being a werewolf-hating vampire who seems to think of Jaeyun as the most significant burden in his life yet.
