Summary
A knocking on the door made her look up from the book she was reading.
A guest? At this hour?
Slowly the small Hobbit stood up to answer the door.
„Dwalin, at your service.“ A dwarf. A dwarf on her doorstep.
A dwarf she knew a long time ago. A dwarf who died in battle, proudly swinging his weapon.
With a blank stare she scanned the dwarf.
‚Oh Yavanna, how cruel of you‘
Another moment the hobbit stood in the half open door, slowly realizing what was happening. In her empty eyes a spark lit up, after a long and cold winter. A single teardrop ran down her cheek, breaking her numbness.
„You are alive?“ She wispered under her breath.
Before Dwalin could react the small hobbit jumped at him, hugging the big warrior and sobbing at his chest.A retelling of the hobbit

Summary
„We all lost family that day,“ Balin choked out.
Bilbo stared at him across the fire.
„The day the dragon came,“ Dwalin continued in a low voice, „we‘ve lost our baby sister, our Freya. It was my fault. I should not have fought with her. I couldn’t find her that day, no matter how long I searched. I have no right to call myself her brother.“
Dwalin stood up and left the lit space. The company fell silent again.
The hobbit heard a lot of stories from the dwarrows along their journey, about home and family, but seldomly about loss and not once from Dwalin and Balin about the day the dragon came.
Bilbo could see how Balin sheepishly wiped away some tears, and he witnessed an expression in Thorins face he had never seen before. Regret and the pain of a broken heart.

Freya's ear itched as if someone was talking behind her back. Probably Thranduil, that pointy eared drama queen of the woodland realm. She shifted her attention back onto her son, a splitting image of his father, riding a large black bear as if it was a pony. She could not help but smile, pushing away the sorrow in her heart, as she thought about her brothers and how she had lost them the day the dragon came.

Summary
Aurora left Shire all those years ago, after the incident with her family and the unfortunate passing of her late husband.
She would have not dreamed to return to the green hills so soon, but a letter from her dear sister, Belladonna, changed her mind. The letter had found her too late, so she was only able to express her condolence to Bilbo, her nephew.She didn't stay too long in her hometown though. Not due to the shunning and mean comments of her fellow hobbits, but because of a certain stubborn royal ass of a dwarf stealing away her heart. Well, and she surely couldn't let her cute nephew head blindly into the dangers of the outside world all on his own, on the recommendation of her old meddling friend.

Love is all-seeing and accepting. Love is seeing all the flaws and accepting them. Love is accepting the bad habbits and mannerisms, and working around them. Love is recognizing all the fears and insecurities, and knowing your role is to comfort. Love is working through all the challenges and painful times. Love is strong and it strengthens because it is real. -

Summary
You fell into middle earth and woke up on a massive hoard of gold, silver, trinkets and jewels. You had become ‘Smaug the terrible’. Only that you are clearly female and no dragon at all.
The gold wasn’t as comfortable as it might have looked in the movies. And on top of that, being a dragon was boring. All day long staring at gold. No stories, no music, no company.
You had already organized the treasures out of boredom, thank god you had read the hobbit and watched the movies, as you did with everything else from Tolkien you could get your hands on.
Occasionally you would get out of the mountain to visit Lake Town. Bard was nice to you, as had been his father. He never asked where you came from, or how you got a hold of the long lost gold from the dragon's hoard. The dragon hasn’t been seen for more than sixty years, only the young girl visiting the city of men, trading gold for stories and books, avoiding the greedy claws of the town's mayor and his slimy advisor.
It was about time that the company of Thorin Oakenshield arrived.

And she’s always had a bad habit of mixing business and pleasure.

If the King Under the Mountain was incredibly handsome to look at, well that was just a bonus. If his bed was incredibly comfortable? Even better.

Or, in a world where everyone is classified as a dominant, submissive, or switch, Bell is a sweet sub with emotional baggage, in a group full of rowdy doms, who surprise surprise, have no idea that their sweet little hobbit is a submissive!
Or, or, Hobbits are all mostly submissives, with the occasional switch popping up every now and then, whereas dwarves are made up of mostly dominants. Because of this, dwarves treasure submissives, due to their rarity. Too bad no one told Bell this.

Her plan was simple enough.
