Prompt on tumblr: "De-aged Tony only recognises Rhodey and he only accepts his help. And the Avengers can only watch how great Rhodey is with Tony."
Tony puts his back to a brick wall and eyes them all warily, and Natasha suggests calling Pepper. Steve does, and explains the situation. Pepper is quiet for a long moment. “Call Rhodey,” she says. “He’s stationed not too far away from New York City right now. He’ll be able to help.”

Written for a prompt on tumblr: "Rhodey and Tony being together since their MIT years. They married as soon as they could, and are still hopelessly in love after ~30 years. One of these perfect, almost sickeningly sweet couples."
Slowly, Tony grins, and Rhodey dares to breathe. “Yeah. Yeah, you sappy idiot, alright. I’ll marry you.”
Rhodey laughs, disbelieving, delighted, and sweeps Tony into his arms. Tony grins into the kiss, and, wow. They’re gonna be alright.

Summary
Tony wakes with a cough, a rattling thing that shakes his rib cage. The air is thick and musty around him and it makes breathing difficult in a way he thought he’d left behind with the arc reactor. He blinks into the darkness, presses a hand to his aching chest, and his elbow knocks against something that sounds like wood. He frowns and reaches towards the wood and his fingers brush rough grain a few inches from his face and suddenly it clicks.
