After a brief introduction, Red spends the next week secretly filling her sketchbook with drawings of Meri — her laugh, her smile, her hands — telling herself it's just artistic observation and not examining it further.

Sister. Her sister. Her baby sister. Her long-dead baby sister. Red felt like she was going to be sick. She couldn’t help but stare. Pink was beautiful, and she looked so happy, so alive. Red could feel the tears building up in her eyes.

Based on a thought I had: Pink has always existed, and Red is coping with her sister being back in her life. It started as an inspo fic from TheWeavingWinnower88's Heartless that got quickly derailed.
