"Well that's certainly not it."
"I'm serious, angel. I don't want to go."
"I know, my dear," Aziraphale said, the tip of his fingers ghosting over Crowley's cheek, who fought the urge to shut his eyes. "But it's only a month. It'll pass in the blink of an eye—"
Crowley, a young Prince, and Aziraphale, his servant, have been best friends their entire lives, but naturally, a relationship between a Prince and his servant is rather frowned upon by royalty. When Crowley is sent to the neighbouring kingdom a month after his twenty-first birthday to court a Princess, the comfortable and fragile relationship he'd had with Aziraphale is thrown into a state of disarray, and they are forced to confront their true feelings for each other, risking it all for love.

Summary
When Krypton died, around forty-two Earth years ago, the plan was to send Kara and Kal-El away to safety. Kara would take care of her baby cousin on Earth and raise him to the best of her ability under Krypton’s Girod. They would be the last daughter and son of their kind and carry on their legacy.
It was a good plan. A thoroughly thought plan.
It was also a plan that failed (almost) miserably.
While Kal-El’s pod left safely in the nick of time, Kara’s never did. The remaining members of the Great House of El watched as the pod carrying the toddler took off just before everything started crumbling around them.
Now, forty-two years later, Superman was doing a good job as Earth’s Champion. He had some help, granted, but Lex’s relentlessness with his latest obsession: killing his sister, was starting to become a real problem.
If they wanted to save Lena’s life, they would have to get creative, because it was clear that there was no place on Earth safe for her anymore.

“I do know you.” Supergirl’s voice is soft and tender, a contrast to the wildfire that blazed in her blue eyes. “And you know me. Look at me, Lena.” Lena complies, locking gazes with Supergirl. “Really look at me.”
Lena notes the pleading tone in the hero’s voice and takes a moment to look deeply into those bold, azure eyes. Even though they’re intense, even though they’re filled with an anger Lena has never seen before, they’re also familiar. Why is that? This kind of familiarity comes with knowing someone intimately. She doesn’t have that kind of relationship with Supergirl, it’s strictly business.
No, there is only one pair of blue eyes Lena has spent what feels like a lifetime staring into. And with a breathless gasp she realizes, she’s staring into them now as well. They’re darker than normal with a hint of mischief, anger and wickedness but they’re still her eyes.

But it wasn’t how it had happened to him.
Colors hadn’t burst all of a sudden. His world hadn’t been shaken to its core. The colors had come slowly, as little things in his day. They had had their time to develop as that bubbly little thing grew inside him.
In hindsight, Lucifer should’ve known it wouldn’t have happened like that for him. Nothing in his life ever happened as it was supposed to…

It happened so abruptly, smacked her with such an intensity that Lena was surprised she didn’t topple over. She felt as though the wind had been knocked out of her, a cocktail of shock and arousal flooding her system all at once before she had the chance to reign it in.

Summary
There’s a tempest raging in Lena’s chest. Love and hate, anger and affection, the impulse to break down and confess everything – Hope, Lex’s final words, everything – and the betrayal that still haunts her, still makes her want to hurt, to sting back. A good person would push past the dark thoughts, put their effort into forgiving and moving forward. A good person wouldn’t take the easy route, and continue the cycle of hurt.
Kara brushes their noses together lightly, like she hasn’t brought Lena’s whole world crashing down with her lies, and the hurt pushes harder. The anger bubbles forth, and Lena clenches her jaw.
She isn’t good, after all, is she? She never has been. Just ask her mother.
Lena reaches down, aligns Kara’s fingers, and presses them inside to the knuckle.
OR
After the reveal, Lena decides to cope with her conflicted feelings through a friends with benefits arrangement – only, without the ‘friends’. Unsurprisingly, it does not end well.
An examination of Lena’s perspective in 5x01 through to the confrontation in 5x07, had things gone just a little bit differently.

And she’s tried, okay? Tried drowning herself in work, tried her luck at yoga, even ramped up her already high alcohol intake. Tried every trick in the book that would get her to stop thinking about Kar—no, she doesn’t even know a Kara anymore. About Supergirl.
(All those, even altogether, worked maybe barely.)
