    Bakugou Katsuki has a secret. A big one.

    Nobody knows. Not his classmates. Not his teachers. Not even that damn nerd who can’t keep his nose out of other people’s business.
    Because the truth is, Bakugou is deaf. And has been for a while now.

    Everything was under control-until a villain’s quirk forces him to switch bodies with Todoroki for twenty-four hours. And suddenly, the truth is out. Aizawa is pissed. His classmates are reeling.

    Now Bakugou has to deal with what he’s been running from all along: the fear of being seen as weak.

    Katsuki's earliest memories are of warm hands wrapped around his body. He's known since the ripe age of kindergarten that some fruits are picked early, but just like the seedling apple severed from the branch, Katsuki stopped living when he was six years old, when the first woman to ever love him—his kindergarten teacher—sank her teeth into his flesh and left the rest of him to rot between the bugs and blades of grass.

    Or maybe it was when he was seven, when his first-grade teacher showed him what it meant to have something worth living for—even if it was sick and demented—and then lose it in its entirety.

    Or maybe it was when he was nine, when fourth-grade rolled around and he learned that fire is warm from afar, but scorches and devours from up close; when he learned that warm hands can easily turn violent; when not just his parents found out what had been done to him, but Deku, too.

    Or maybe he died long before any of that. Maybe he died the day that Mitsuki first looked at him with something other than adoration in her crimson eyes. When her fists first rose. When Katsuki first flinched.
