All in full view and judgement of millions of people, including my teachers, hero scouts, my mentor the number one hero who wants me to declare myself his successor, my horrible father who will surely turn on me if anyone finds out he is my father, and my Mom who’s scared of me getting hurt. The muffled, carefully dampened sound, engineered not to carry, breaks his heart. The laugh is not one of a carefree sixteen year old, but of a terrified child so unused to joy.

And sometimes you're right and you wake up the next morning to a wonderful day full of sunshine and rainbows and singing birds and you start living life in a damn Disney movie.
Other times you're wrong. The cycle just continues. Maybe Life adds lighter fluid next time. Or fills the bottom of the can with dead fish. And it's up to you to get up off your sorry ass and do something to fix your life because it is clear that you're basically alone. When there's no hero coming to save you, you're forced to save yourself. Be your own hero.
Izuku decides the best way to be a hero is to be a teacher.

All Might may have chosen Mirio as his successor, but the previous OFA users preferred Midoriya and so decided that they would take the role of his trainer. The only problem being Izuku can’t see or hear them. But a bit of possession never hurt anyone did it.
