Summary
Two years after Aziraphale accepts the Metatron’s offer, Crowley is captured as he attempts to infiltrate Heaven and Aziraphale is tasked with executing public punishment. Instead, he lets the demon lead him on a quest to recover a lost item that can help them stop the end of the world once more. Because Heaven is not the boss of him anymore, and preventing the Apocalypse will never stop being his and Crowley’s job.

A year after season two, Aziraphale is trapped in Heaven.
He sees Crowley living on Earth, all alone and in trouble. With help, he manages to act accordingly.
Crowley’s heartbreak leads to him to being a damsel in distress.
Excerpt:
Aziraphale recalled what he’d seen out his office window. With it’s close and clear view of London, Earth.
He hadn’t meant to zoom in where he did. The scene had appeared against his will.
A certain demon. All alone and buying several cases of the worst scotch he’d ever tasted. Oodles of it.
Something he drank when he didn’t care about quality, only getting drunk as fast as possible.
Crowley looked bad. Aziraphale didn’t think he’d ever seen him with a hair out of place, and certainly never in dirty clothes and flip flops.
But there he was. The only familiar part of his attire had been his sunglasses.

"Just a sec," he said, scowling as the end slipped away from him again.
There was a pause. And then a voice, softly, "There you are."
An unusual customer walks into Anthony Crowley's flower shop with a very specific request. AU, series, complete, angst with a happy ending.
(Series Summary: For three centuries, Crowley has been reincarnated over and over as a human with no memory of his past. Aziraphale has tried to find a way to restore him to his true self, but all he seems to do is hurt them both. Must he spell it out for him? “You could…” Aziraphale looks him up and down, then cocks his head towards the poncy fellow up on the balcony, raising his brows pointedly. “You know.”
Possess him? Crowley frowns and asks, “You think so?”
Aziraphale nods, eyes wide. The visual alone has instantly vaporized any alcohol content in his body.
“I—well.” Crowley considers it, then winces. “I haven’t actually poked inside someone since… oh, gotta be 71, I think. Antoine Gay. Bollocksed that one up.”
Aziraphale blinks, taken aback. In his (admittedly frequent) imaginings of Crowley in bed, he never envisioned him as the ‘poker’, necessarily. He seemed like he’d much rather enjoy getting poked instead. Repeatedly. Passionately. Perhaps up against an opulent pillar.

Like, actually. He very nearly loses balance for no reason at all and tumbles to the sidewalk next to his car. He’s been playing Aziraphale’s voice in his head for weeks, he’s been trying very hard to drown out the sound of it, in fact, and now suddenly, abruptly—
“What are you doing here,” is all he can think to say. He whirls around, and there he is. On Crowley’s right, standing there like he’d never left. Where he belongs, Crowley’s mind helpfully supplies. He wishes he could punch himself in the brain, knock the thoughts right on out of there.
