Summary
Park Jimin had decided very well for himself that things like mating, courtships, and the whole happily ever after were never really going to be his thing.
The only time he’d ever come close to considering a mate for himself was years ago. He’d let himself be swept away with the alpha’s sweet smile, his bashful red ears, and his gentle deflection. Jimin should have known that once the boy would finally present, that kind, gentle alpha he once knew would be gone, replaced by the cold, angry brute that sought violence over a day out in the meadows with him.

Summary
“Come on,” the alpha says. He tilts his head towards the water as Jimin gapes at him with fear in his eyes. “Get in.”
Tonight Jimin listens.
Whether because of the humid heat clouding the air or the insomnia induced delirium or something else entirely, Jimin's feet take tiny steps until he stands at the edge of the bath. The tip of his toes get dangerously close to dipping in, just needing to take one last step. The alpha’s eyes watch his every move, scanning down his body with rapt attention.
“Go on,” the alpha says, voice dripping with deep richness.
Jimin—for reasons he fails to understand—listens. His body carries him, slowly sauntering down the steps and into the hot water without thinking it over any longer. Something about it feels helpless and uncontrollable, making him itchy inside. He pushes it down.
“Good little omega.”
The alpha’s words make sparks tingle in his veins and acid climb up his throat, the conflicting combination of sensations confusing. He hates how something inside of him almost… likes it.
After being rescued from an oppressive pack with strict rules and outdated traditions, Jimin starts his life life anew in the Jeon pack.

Summary
“Is it going to h-hurt?” Jimin asks, voice breaking when he verbalizes his greatest worry. A shaky breath pulls from his lungs, impossibly loud in the quiet of night.
“M… M-M… Mating.” Jungkook grunts, common tongue clumsy and awkward coming from his mouth. It sounds unpracticed, discordant. He motions to the mat and blankets on the ground, striated muscles flexing with every move his capable body produces. Another step closer. “Mating. O-Okay?”
Permission, Jimin realizes. The Head Alpha of the Jeon Pack, formidable and revered leader known for his brute strength and staunch ruling, stands here asking for permission before he takes the omega promised to him. He sounds almost nervous, shy and boyish in a way that Jimin never expected.
“O-Okay.” Jimin nods, still debilitatingly nervous but also aware of his duty.
Abruptly forced into an arranged marriage with the savage leader of the illustrious Jeon Pack, stripped from his meager home with only the clothes on his back, and thrusted onto a foreign island where not even his mate understands him, Jimin finds himself swept away in a whirlwind of life-changing experiences as he learns how to speak—and teach—the language of love.

Summary
Jimin looks just as miserable from where he sits across from Jungkook, although it may have more to do with the fact that he’s woefully underdressed and overwhelmingly out of his league than anything else.
He knows what this all looks like to the dozens of rich onlookers side-eying him curiously and making him more nervous than he already was. Him, sitting awkwardly across from Jungkook in his sleek black suit, who looks like he’s right at home in this type of environment. Jimin looks like a street urchin scooped up off the street by a rich, albeit lonely, chaebol who is looking for company. That kind of company. For all these old men who keep staring at the back of Jimin’s head like it might catch on fire know, he’s just there to eat like a king for a night and in exchange do the walk of shame out of a five star hotel room the next morning.
And he just wanted ice cream.
