After Daigo gets propositionned at a bar right before Mine's eyes, a strange feeling grows inside of him. It can't just be jalousy. He can get all the women he wants. But he never wanted any. No, he realizes that what he wants is to follow his chairman during his date to assure his safety. And if he has to see him in a compromising position to make really sure there is no threat to his life at all, it doesn't bother him. Actually... he likes the idea. Tsukumo had me pick it up from Ebisu a while back. I guess it’s really rare. No idea how you knew they’d have it, though.”
“Yeah, from Love Star.” Sugiura braved scooching fully into the cubicle, close enough to reach out and take the figure. It was a tight fit, but Yagami was practically two-dimensional, and all Sugiura had to bear was his knee bumping against Tsukumo’s. He could deal with that.
“You’ve… Seen Love Star, Sugiura-shi?”

Yet Daigo was informed about his status...
That was haunting him, frustrating him to no end. At work, Mine hoped for a reply with every ring. He left the gym even more dissatisfied than how he entered it, unable to let off steam because none of his opponents were able to stand up to him like Daigo.

Summary
One's an incident and two's a coincidence- but Daigo wasn't too much of a fan of having to coincidentally running into Mine the first time, and he certainly wasn't happy to see him again the second.
What's more, they were seemingly doomed to only ever run into each other on overcrowded subway rides, barely given enough wiggle room to breathe this time. Though perhaps this recent meeting wouldn't go as sourly as they imagined.

As much as Daigo appreciated- and at times needed- Mine's input, he was ultimately the one in charge, and if Mine wasn't able to comprehend his methods, then Daigo was more than happy to enlighten him.
