However if you are anything like my dear partner you know theres more to it. So for those like my beloved here's a story shipping Dazai and Chuuya tying them together in a soulmates story.
But this story isn’t about them discovering their soulmates, hell theres barely any romance in this story at all. This is after all that lovey dovey stuff, so use your imagination for that. Instead this is a story about Osamu Dazai in trouble kidnapped, torchered… kinda. All that lovely stuff and Nakahara Chuuya needing to save him.
Also if you didn’t read the tags this is just for you. I haven't read any of the Manga’s or watched any of the Anime series. One more time in big text for those who skim I HAVENT READ THE MANGA OR WATCHED THE ANIME! I only know these characters from my fixated partner and this is a present for them and them specifically. SO go read their stuff if you want a well written accurate story.

Summary
Falling down the stairs hurts like hell. This is not how he wanted to go out.
It takes an excruciating infinity of tumbling before he comes to a stop at the bottom of the stairwell. He feels like a limp doll, tossed to the wayside. Except dolls cannot feel the fire mixed with numbness that fills every inch of his nerves.
He feels wetness pooling underneath his head as he lies on the ground, unable to move, the world spinning around him. Footsteps approach as the world goes hazy, and then he hears a phone call being made as the person who shoved him stands over him, watching him die with clinical coolness.
OR
Dazai gets killed, revived, and kidnapped in that order by a stranger obsessed with him, and Chuuya and the ADA are left to pick up the pieces and try to bring him home.

In 90s New York, when the word 'gay' is an insult and your sexuality puts a target on your head, the story isn't as easy as that for Joey Tribbiani. All he wants to do most days is crawl out of his skin and find a place to hide. It doesn't help that his parents condemn homosexuality to hell. It doesn't help that he still doesn't know who he is. It doesn't help that he might be completely gone for his best friend. It certainly doesn't help that he now has to pretend-date said best friend.
It's messy, and complicated, and has way, way more heartbreak than 'boy meets girl'. And this, this is his story.
