“They allowed me the day off, tomorrow,” Hannibal murmurs, pulling Will from his thoughts - or back to them, they involve the same person, after all - “But I cannot make my mind sit still. Can’t shut it down enough to even sleep. I’ve passed the threshold of exhaustion.” A laugh, deep, more a warm purr than anything else, and Will knows his eyes are closed, his lips split into a smile.
“You must miss me too much,” grins Will, unable to stop now, when he hears it in Hannibal’s voice, too.
“Entirely so.”
Will is away a few days fixing up things for the shop. He misses his husband.

“O come on now”, Will said, placing one hand over his husband’s.

Summary
Someone is with Hannibal Lecter at the opera, and it certainly isn't someone anyone has ever seen before or at least seen the mysterious man with.
Yes, right there sitting next to Hannibal Lecter is a man of...unusual looks. Hair shaved all around with one tuft of curls lying on top that lean onto one side of his face. Piercings trace over his ears, as well as two making a snake bite on his bottom lip, but that's not the worst of it all. The worst are the ugly tattoos that seem to cover up the man's neck; the head of a bewitching deer creature curls up on the left side of his neck, while the test of his tattoo seems to disappear under his shirt. No telling what other monstrosity was lying under the man's clothes.

Summary
Dwarves were strange creatures. Bilbo had thought that often enough for it to be a statement of fact rather than a passing observation. He didn’t suppose he’d ever quite grasp the call of gold and jewels or of heavy weaponry. Then again, dwarves didn’t quite understand why he and other hobbits held such a fondness for the sun and things grown in the ground so perhaps hobbits were just as strange.
Durin's Day celebrations don't quite turn how Bilbo expected, a few months later, it gets infinitely worse.
