Summary
Andrew Minyard is a professional exy player for the New York City Hyenas, and when their rival team, the New York City Lions, snatch up-and-coming star player, Neil Josten, as their first-round draft pick, well, things get a little messy. Andrew should have known this was a terrible, terrible, idea.
He was an idiot, a fool, for ever thinking that he could train his mate in how to be a fully functioning human in a week- when his mate still struggled with basic merfolk concepts. He’d never forgotten his first impression of Neil - the first time they had been placed together for the Hunt, who had stared blankly in confusion when the head of the Hunt, an Elder, no less, had asked him what colony he was representing and Neil had basically flipped her off in merspeak.
