Charlie Swan was going through it after Bella left Forks with Edward Cullen. Hell, he still thought the guy looked like a perfect creep, but, as they said in the movies, “whatever makes my little girl happy.”
For a while, he tried living normally. A text message here and there from Bella. Renée calling every other week to make sure he was still alive. But after nearly two years of chain-smoking and sulking around Forks like a ghost, his colleagues decided to force him into taking a vacation as a birthday gift.
He just didn’t expect to witness the weirdest car accident he had ever seen.
Much less expected to come back home weeks later and find the same dead girl moving into the house across from his, alive and breathing.
