Pomni stepped into the room just a little, leaning her weight back against the door. She thought about toying with him a little, but at the end of the day, she really just wanted to get down to it. Pressing her lips together, she glanced quickly around the hall, watchful for familiar faces that actually might question her if they saw who she was talking to.
When she felt the coast was sufficiently clear, she turned back to him. “What are you doing after work?”
Jax only stared at her for a beat or two, his eyes a touch wider than they had been a moment ago. He seemed surprised to hear her be so forward—an unintended effect, but not an unwelcome one.
At length, though, he smirked. “You tell me.”

44 mil palabras de PURO PINCHE PORRRNOOO NDWJNSJNWIN no, pero ya en serio, está MUY bien escrito, es un AU de oficina increíble, la tensión está MUY bien trabajada, es smut sin sentimientos pero la forma en la que se desarrolla es maravillosa si lo que quieres es leer un funnybunny para ser feliz y no llorar como desquiciada por el canon, siento que mantiene muy bien la forma en la que estos dos se relacionan dentro del canon pero bajo otro contexto más agradable (y sexoso jajaj) !!

It was only two days after the gun adventure, two days after their fight, two days after Jax was sure he’d ruined everything, that Pomni sat next to him again. Not just at meals when everyone’s seats were practically assigned by an unspoken routine of weeks-months-years-built habit that was rarely strayed from, not just in adventures when Caine’s powers and the circumstances they were subjected to forced close proximity, but by choice, by purpose, by want.
She’d interrupted his failing efforts to let the ceiling's migraine-inducing neon colors drive the endless stream of thoughts out of his mind by carefully sitting next to him. She was kind enough to leave a little over a foot of space between them, but he could still feel the way the cushion dipped under her weight, still hear the deafeningly soft jingle of the bells on her hat as she settled, still taste the nauseating self-loathing bitterness her presence stained his mouth with as the memory of everything he’d said to her bubbled up in his throat like bile.
OR After their fight, Pomni keeps finding ways to be near Jax, never saying anything, just existing next to him. At the end of another long shift at Spudsy's, they finally talk.

sumersprklwrites: DON’T imagine a really really angry Thorin waiting until the doors of the throne room close on whatever rude guest was just there (Let’s face it, probably elves) and then IMMEDIATELY grabbing Bilbo, pulling him into his lap, and just sitting there with his face in Bilbo’s neck until he calms down. (Bilbo just sighs and pats Thorin’s hand because he knows it’s either this or Thorin throwing insults and maybe even starting wars).
